--- Dear Fuse Energy team, I'm applying for the Senior/Lead Backend Engineer role because Fuse's mission — making energy abundant and affordable by rebuilding the energy system from first principles — is the kind of hard, infrastructure-level problem I most enjoy. I'm a backend engineer with 20+ years building high-volume, highly available systems and consumer-facing products across e-commerce, fintech and nation-scale infrastructure. The responsibilities map closely to work I've shipped. For a real-time digital twin, I built a Go service at Samokat that streamed Kafka events to WebSocket clients on web and mobile — a live state feed across the product. For high-volume pipelines, I made Dixy's inventory synchronization 10x faster (20 min → 2 min) by migrating ClickHouse→PostgreSQL and processing data incrementally in parallel. For messaging interfaces with third parties, I've built many — an API-Hub integration layer at Dixy, a payment-acceptance API at Undev, and the Idibu↔Hiring Hub integration at Source[Lab]. On reliability, I've run event-driven systems on Kafka and RabbitMQ with observability via OpenTelemetry and Jaeger, and improved throughput and stability on a Lending-as-a-Service platform. I don't have energy-sector experience, but I've built nation-scale infrastructure before — toll-road systems (Platon, Oboz, Kospro) with real-time data and billing — which carries the same reliability and scale concerns. I'm also building applied AI/LLM expertise, so I'd contribute to the AI you're using across the business. I own work end-to-end, communicate clearly, adapt quickly to new business needs, and work fully remote in CET/CEST hours. I'd love to talk about building the digital backbone of the next-generation energy system with you.
